It was a cold December day somewhere in the North Western quadrant as the spaceship looked for a place to land.
It’s mission, to find intelligent life had thus far drawn a blank, or many blanks in reality. The place seemed full of great big metal, lit fake trees,
strange red dressed subhumansintent on criminal activity, and whole communities led by huge corporate entities.
Not to mention Big Balls!!
I'm sure I said NOT to mention big balls! As they found a parking space - my attempt at humour - they began to think that maybe Burkes on Head was not going to be any different. First of all they had to overcome some language barriers as they seemed to speak in signs that were somewhat contradictory, as well as totally incomprehensible! Some of the legalities were difficult to understand as well, so far on their many visitations had they ever seen the need for a speed limit set for climbing trees!Mind you the little river boat was ferry dazzling but the large metal structures that reminded them of home seemed to be protected day and night by a heavily armed warship of sorts!
However there was hope…. a large black bird,
a squirrel on a rock, and some fungus on a tree.
Then there was MILLY!!
